The chassis is almost complete, the pieces being cut using my CNC router from a sheet of PVC plastic.

Building the chassis

I got a Tamiya tank track set while on holiday in Singapore, where I visited the Sim Lim Tower electronics building (not to be confused with Sim Lim Square). I considered just buying the Tamiya base set to mount the tracks, but thought it would be fun to make it myself instead. I used nails and a wooden board to figure out how far apart I wanted the main wheels and guide wheels to be, and designed the parts using my G-Code design app thingie.

The tank was built using my CNC machine to cut the parts from a sheet of PVC plastic. The plastic is from a model supply shop, and cuts quite nicely. The parts are glues together using model glue.
